Les 14 stars les mieux habillées aux Oscars 2026 | Vanity Fair
Happy 2026 Oscars day to all those who celebrate! After an arduous few months of countless red carpets and awards ceremonies, we have arrived. This is what we’ve been training for. Call it the red-carpet Super Bowl, the best-dressed Olympics! At last, we have arrived.
The style of this awards circuit has been a bit of a slow burn, with the Golden Globes being an exception to the rule of a season in which the fashion has not always been stellar. There’s been some highlights, of course: Teyana Taylor in a tantalizing Schiaparelli dress at the Globes, Wunmi Mosaku in an electric blue Ahluwalia fringed look at the BAFTAs, Jessie Buckley in a Balenciaga dress that screamed Oscar winner at the Actors, and generally the delightful rise of Chase Infiniti, who tonight looked stunning in Louis Vuitton and De Beers London styled by styling duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
Tonight, things reached a proper peak. To put it simply, stars tonight brought it. Taylor and Buckley, wore looks by Chanel, the former with Tiffany & Co. jewelry (“the perfect finishing touch!” as Taylor told me over the phone on Thursday—but more on that later). It’s no surprise, and no mistake, that both women made our best dressed list—Chanel has been on fire this awards season, with Matthieu Blazy’s confident and audacious renovation of the storied house leading up to this moment. When was the last time someone won an Oscar in Chanel, you ask? Over a decade ago, when Julianne Moore took the award for best actress in a concoction by Karl Lagerfeld. As the kids would say, we are so back. Buckley is styled by red carpet maven Danielle Goldberg, while Taylor, fabulously so, has styled herself as she has for most of this awards season.

See also, Demi Moore’s simply striking Gucci feathered gown—a trend of the night—designed by Demna, and Rose Byrne’s stunning Dior couture gown by Jonathan Anderson; both designers started at their respective houses last year, and they’re clearly making strides. Moore is styled by Brad Goreski, and Byrne by Kate Young. Also fantastic: Renate Reinsve, who has been leaning into a unique brand of sexy minimalism I’m particularly enjoying, in a Louis Vuitton gown, and Kate Hudson in Armani Privé and Garatti jewelry.
Man-of-the-moment Hudson Williams is in a black Balenciaga suit, looking every bit the Hollywood leading man styled by Anastasia Walker. Ditto Paul Mescal, a nominee tonight for his turn in Hamnet, who is in a Celine suit designed by American in Paris Michael Rider. Mescal is styled by Felicity Kay. The best dressed man tonight, however? Pedro Pascal in, surprisingly enough, Chanel, which does not even make menswear!
Be sure to vote for your favorite looks here, and check back in later this week as we reveal the winner of our best dressed leaderboard, as voted by you, our audience!

In the words of Tyla “put me in Chanel!” Taylor looks stunning in a black and white concoction by Chanel designer Matthieu Blazy, which she paired with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Have you ever seen Chanel look this steamy? Leave it to Taylor to take the legendary house to the next level.

When I spoke to Moore and her stylist Brad Goreski yesterday, they told me that the goal this year, since she was presenting, was to find the balance between something bold and something that would not steal the spotlight too much. Mission accomplished. This Gucci look, paired with Boucheron jewelry, is striking and memorable, yet does not make the night about her. No notes.

I’ve quite enjoyed seeing Reinsve more clearly define her signature style this awards season. Tonight she is wearing the perfect minimalist dress—a red sheath cut with not a single flaw or crease—or seam! She stood out tonight and she earned her place on this list.

Kate Young expertly styled Byrne in this Dior look by Jonathan Anderson with Taffin jewelry—she looks chic, timeless, and like herself!

A movie star! Fanning is wearing a gorgeous Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown tonight paired with a striking Cartier necklace dating all the way back to 1903. She is a veteran actor at this point, but looks remarkable tonight as a first-time Oscar nominee.

Mosaku has been my favorite dresser of this awards season, styled by Shameelah Hicks. Tonight she wore a gorgeous Louis Vuitton gown with green sequins with David Yurman jewelry—I love it when Vuitton decides to stand behind a nominee. They give them the movie star treatment Wunmi deserves!

Bellizzi is nominated tonight for her work as the costume designer of Marty Supreme. She is one of the best dressers in Hollywood—or anywhere. Tonight she is wearing a vintage Dior gown by John Galliano paired with Pandora jewelry. She was styled by Mimi Eltemur.

I saw Kate Hudson at the Armani Privé show in January, and suspected then she’d be wearing a look from the collection—or similar!—to the Oscars. Turns out I was right—she looks stunning in Armani paired with Garatti jewelry.

Surprisingly enough, the best dressed man tonight is not a nominee, and is not even wearing a label that designs menswear. Pascal is in custom Chanel by Blazy—plus Chanel watch and glasses! Once more, they’re running laps around everyone else this season.

Danielle Goldberg, Buckley’s stylist, told me over the phone last night that her look was inspired by Grace Kelly. I enjoy the contrast between her more subdued and classic Chanel look and Taylor’s—fabulous!

I LOVE MOVIE STARS! Kidman looked terrific in a Chanel dress and jewelry, plus an Omega watch—and have you noticed feathers being tonight’s key trend? And the three feathered looks made this best dressed list!

This VF cover star is wearing a sparkly, body-hugging custom Schiaparelli dress by Daniel Roseberry to accompany Timothée Chalamet (in Givenchy by Sarah Burton). “First impression was that she was vibrating on a different frequency than the rest of the room,” Roseberry told Nate Freeman of working with Jenner. “We are watching a woman at play with herself and her own image.” We certainly are!

Mescal and Abrams made this list together at the BAFTAs, and they’re back on. This time, Mescal is wearing a fantastic reiteration of the classic black suit by Celine, with a cardigan-style jacket, and Abrams in a sexy Chanel two-piece—plus Chanel high jewelry.
