Arsenal secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion to finish Saturday at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners took the lead with a goal from Bukayo Saka from the penalty spot in the first half, and Kai Havertz sealed the win by scoring from a Jorginho cross in the 60th minute. Leandro Trossard added insult to injury with a fine finish late in the game.

At the end of the day, Mikel Arteta's team sits one point ahead of Liverpool at the top of the standings, with Liverpool set to play Manchester United on Sunday.

Both teams started the game quickly, with Gabriel missing a header just a minute into the match. Brighton also had chances in the opening stages as they looked for the first goal.

Saka missed a good opportunity after cutting inside and curling the ball wide, while Gabriel Jesus almost scored from Saka's pass but was denied by the Brighton goalkeeper.

Despite more chances for Arsenal, Jesus failed to find the back of the net again. Havertz crossed the ball to him, but the Brazilian forward couldn't hit the target.

The pressure from Arsenal paid off when Lamptey fouled Jesus in the box, resulting in a penalty that Saka converted to give the Gunners a deserved lead.

Brighton had a chance late in the first half, but Raya made a great save to keep Arsenal in front. The Gunners continued to threaten before halftime.

Jesus missed another opportunity to score early in the second half when he headed Havertz's cross wide. However, Havertz eventually scored himself by tapping in Jorginho's pass to double Arsenal's lead.

Despite having more possession after Arsenal's second goal, Brighton struggled to create clear chances as Saliba and Gabriel held firm in defense. Arsenal capitalized on a counterattack to score a third goal late in the game.

Substitute Trossard sealed the victory with a goal that started from his own half, running past the Brighton defense and chipping the ball over Verbruggen to complete the win."
