The shift forward of clocks usually signals the final stages of a Premier League season in the UK. There has been no shortage of excitement so far, as a packed midweek schedule brought plenty of exciting moments. Here we list the star players of Gameweek 31, in order of their performance.

Despite injuries and other players taking precedence, Emile Smith Rowe hasn't had much playing time since his exceptional 2021/22 breakout season. A rare start accompanied Arsenal's encounter with Luton Town on Wednesday night; Smith Rowe made the most of it, proving his value in the league run-in with an impressive midfield performance.

A swift start by Nottingham Forest compelled Fulham manager, Marco Silva, to make three substitutions in the first half of their Tuesday match. With the score 2-0 already, much of the credit went to Morgan Gibbs-White, who assisted in the opening goal and then scored himself. Although Fulham managed a consolation goal post the interval, the damage mostly inflicted by Gibbs-White, was irreparable.

Alexis Mac Allister initially struggled to find form in Liverpool's midfield this season. However, the Argentine World Cup winner has proven his worth during the past few months, securing his role as one of Jurgen Klopp's critical players. His comeback was further marked by a spectacular goal in Thursday's 3-1 victory over Sheffield United.

When Alejandro Garnacho was replaced in the 86th minute of Manchester United's game against Chelsea with a 3-2 lead, falling out of the running seemed an impossible prospect. Despite losing the game, TNT sports named him the Player of the Match owing to his remarkable two-goal performance. He now stands as United's leading scorer in the Premier League for the season.

The heroics of Cole Palmer ruined Garnacha's night, with his goals in the final minutes earning Chelsea a thrilling 4-3 victory. Having already scored a penalty in the first half, Palmer repeated his success and scored from 12 yards before another deflection from a corner kick, securing their spectacular win.

Phil Foden has had a remarkable season, especially after his hat-trick in Wednesday's 4-1 triumph over Aston Villa, providing a much-needed boost to Manchester City. He equalized on the verge of halftime, added a second shortly after, and then wrapped up the win with a spectacular 25-yard screamer, all while losing his balance. What a talent!
