Jessica Alba Expresses Satisfaction in Her Efforts to Preserve Family Well-being with Therapy: An Effective Release
It may seem like Jessica Alba has an idyllic family life from her Instagram posts, which frequently feature images of her smiling alongside her husband, Cash Warren, 45, and their three children - Honor, 15, Haven, 12, and Hayes, 6. Yet, the family's happy facade has not always been the case. The 42-year-old Fantastic Four actress recently disclosed to Real Simple that she and her family went through counseling around four years ago to enhance their family dynamics.
In reflection of that period, Jessica shared, “Honor was probably 11, and we were arguing all the time about trivial matters. I didn't enjoy the constant disagreement and wanted a third-party who could provide a different perspective.”
Engaging Honor and Haven in therapy ultimately proved to be the turning point for their family. Although the Alba-Warren ladies no longer attend therapy sessions together, they each carry on with individual counseling. “It's an invaluable resource,” Jessica stated, acknowledging that it has resulted in a shift in her parenting approach. “Therapy provokes discussion about your feelings and underlying issues that may be causing distress or happiness. It helps to understand these feelings and then reinforces positive behavior while identifying areas that need change,” she added.
LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING
A source has exclusively revealed to Life & Style that therapy has made the Warren women more effective communicators. The informant further noted that “Jessica has been dedicated to her personal growth. She's been public about battling chronic illness, experiencing sexual harassment and struggling with eating disorders in the past - and appreciates how her children have a healthy means of expressing their emotions from a younger age than she had. Her main objective is to ensure the best for Honor, Haven, and Hayes.”
