Prince Harry and Prince Williams' strained relationship has been a subject of widespread conjecture for the last four years. Early this year, Harry went public with his memoir, Spare, shedding light on the intensified severity of the feud, which notably included an alluded physical clash between the pair.

Omid Scobie, a royal biographer, reveals that the brothers have not reconciled, nearly a year after Harry's revelations. Scobie, the co-writer of the popular biography Finding Freedom, shared with People that Harry's memoir was aimed at initiating dialogue with his family, but the brothers appear to have reached a point of no return. Scobie perceives Harry's book as his final endeavor to openly express his prolonged emotions towards his family, considering the absence of conversations or platforms for him to share these feelings in the past.

This month, Scobie will present Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight For Survival. The book will delve into the repercussions that followed Queen Elizabeth II's death and the subsequent ripple effect triggered when Harry and his spouse, Meghan Markle, receded from their royal duties in 2020. Scobie said he was informed during an early phase of his investigations, that people perceived Harry as a 'defector', a viewpoint allegedly shared by William. He pointed out that both brothers were once united in their viewpoints, but one had to deviate to safeguard the crown.

Scobie informed People of his belief that William has shown more preference towards preserving a specific projection of the monarchy, at the expense of his fraternal bond. Scobie went on to say, "Through the lens of some within the institution, Harry is seen as a menace to the crown. His independence in exploring his personal ideas, outside the boundaries of the monarchy, has single him out to be a foe."
