Real Madrid emerged victorious in the Supercopa de Espana final, securing a famous El Clasico win over Barcelona, thanks to a first-half hat trick by Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian took full advantage of a poor performance from the Barca defence to score his three goals. Madrid's scoring was rounded off by Rodryo Goes in the second half.

The night was a disaster for Barca in Saudi Arabia, with Ronald Araujo being sent off in the second half.

Breaking the deadlock just seven minutes in, Real Madrid scored when Jude Bellingham sent a brilliant slide through ball into the path of an advancing Vinicius Junior. Keeping his cool, the Brazilian rounded Inaki Pena and tapped into the empty net, making it 1-0.

Amazingly, Madrid extended their lead to 2-0 within two minutes. Once again, Barca's dreadful defending allowed Rodrygo to storm into the box unmarked. He then passed to Vini, who slid in at the back post to nudge the ball over the line.

Barcelona finally exhibited some vigour after going two goals behind. Ferran Torres hit the crossbar with an exquisite volley from outside the box, and Robert Lewandowski forced Andriy Lunin into a save following Madrid's failure to clear their area.

In the 33rd minute, Barcelona managed to recoup a goal, courtesy of Lewa. Displaying impeccable technique, the 35-year-old gracefully volleyed into the bottom right corner of the net from just outside the box, making it 2-1.

However, Madrid soon restored their two-goal lead courtesy of Vinicius, who completed his hat trick by winning a penalty from the struggling Ronald Araujo and successfully scored past Pena.

In an attempt to change the direction of the game, Xavi Hernandez brought on substitutes Joao Felix, Fermin Lopez, and Lamine Yamal. Despite retaining possession after going 3-1 down, Barcelona failed to successfully challenge Madrid's defence and conceded for the fourth time three minutes later.

Barcelona's defence was again decimated by Madrid’s relentless in-behind runs. A notable move from right to left ended with Vinicius providing a low cross, which Rodrygo converted into a goal.

In the 71st minute, a visibly frustrated Ronald Araujo was shown the red card after fouling Vinicius, further souring what was already an unfortunate evening for Barca.

The individual performances varied with Vinicius Junior getting a perfect 10 after an exemplary performance including a hat trick, while Barcelona's Ronald Araujo had a night to forget earning a score of zero after a dismal defensive showing.

Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti was given an 8/10 for expertly capitalising on Barcelona's key weaknesses on the night.
