Meghan Trainor recently opened up about her approach to maintaining a healthy relationship with her husband during a heartfelt appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The singer shared that marriage counseling has become an important part of their routine, offering a space where both partners can be fully honest and present with one another.

“The marriage counseling has been once a week and we get to just chat with each other with an amazing therapist. It’s really nice opening up and not being afraid to hurt the other person’s feelings and just saying how we feel,“ Trainor explained. She emphasized how guided conversations help them express emotions they might otherwise hold back in day-to-day life.

Trainor’s husband, Daryl Sabara, then joined the show to share his own perspective on their counseling sessions. He echoed Meghan’s sentiments about how the weekly check-ins have strengthened their relationship and created a safe space for honest communication.

For him, the simplicity of the process is what makes it so effective. “Really it’s just sitting down, getting eye contact, putting phones away and talking it out,” he added.

On The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this week, the 31-year-old admitted she was deeply affected by the harsh criticism she’s faced online.

“It felt like a flame lit off, and I was just getting attacked by so many mean comments,” she said. “Usually, I don’t get a lot of mean comments, or I don’t look at them and they don’t faze me. But these ones were so aggressive. They’re like, ‘You were the bass girl, why’re you thin now?’”

She continued, “It was very confusing, and it broke my heart.”

Trainor fueled speculation about her weight loss earlier this year as Hollywood’s Ozempic conversation intensified.

In April, she addressed the rumors, revealing she has been on the weight loss medication Mounjaro.

She also later shared that she developed gestational diabetes while pregnant with her son Barry, her second child with her husband. This experience led to an “obsession” with monitoring her health and making significant lifestyle changes.

After welcoming her first son Riley in 2021, she opened up to People about her lifestyle changes.

“I think when you have a kid you just realize, ‘Wow, life is beautiful and precious. I want to be the best for my kid.’ I’ve never been more motivated,” said Trainor.

The singer she added, “I look at Riley and think, ‘I’m going to do anything I can to live forever.’”
