Getting to Know Jarrett 'JT' Thomas from Season 9 of 'Southern Charm': Introducing the Promising New Realtor

The ninth season of Southern Charm returned to the screens with a twist welcoming three new faces: Jarrett Thomas, Rodrigo Reyes, and Rod Razavi. Among the regular cast members that included Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, Olivia Flowers, Taylor Ann Green and Leva Bonaparte, it was Jarrett, also known as "JT," who got entangled in a love triangle with Taylor, Shep, and Austen.

A rookie in the reality TV world, JT made significant preparations, trying to lose 10 lbs before his first appearance in expectation of the well-known adage that the camera adds 10lbs. He shared his weight loss journey on Instagram on August 19, revealing that his diabetes became more manageable after eliminating the bad weight. He encouraged his followers to take up healthy living and get in their daily steps.

Born and raised in Virginia, JT currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina. He works as a real estate agent and has established The Inns in Charleston. Away from filming, JT indulges in sweet property deals.

He shared the process of transitioning an Airbnb rental property online, wherein he showcased the first and most recent pictures of the building. He noted that the entire process was a journey filled with big dreams, dedication, and hard work, spanning across seven years.

Further, he mentioned that he aims at sharing seven more of his historical renovations online, promising his followers more interesting projects soon.

On the relationship front, Season 9 witnessed the end of connections between Austen and Olivia and Taylor and Shep in 2022. Furthermore, rumors surfaced hinting at Austen and Taylor's hookup post her break up with Shep. While Taylor refuted the rumors during the season 9 premiere, Austen revealed to his parents that "something" occurred between them.

Interestingly, JT joined the group with an apparent interest in Taylor. Craig labeled this interest as an "obsession," and it eventually triggered the revelation of Taylor's fling with Austen. Craig explained in an interview with Us Weekly in September 2023 that JT's jealousy over Taylor spending time with Austen led to the exposure of their relationship to Shep.
