Trader Joe's has announced a recall of two types of cookies due to potential contamination with rocks, according to the company's recent statement.

The affected products are Trader Joe's Almond Windmill Cookies and Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies. The recall only applies to products with specific sell-by dates, which are as follows:

The company received a notification from its supplier that products with these particular sell-by dates may contain rocks. Trader Joe's has taken immediate action by removing and disposing of all affected products from store shelves. However, the company did not provide any details about how the foreign objects ended up in the recalled cookies.

Trader Joe's is advising customers who have purchased or received the Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies not to consume them. Instead, these cookies should be discarded or returned to any Trader Joe's store for a full refund.

Customers with questions about the recall can contact the Trader Joe's Customer Relations line at 626-599-3817, available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST. The company also offers a product feedback form for customers to fill out.

Earlier this year, Trader Joe's also issued a recall for its Original Tropical Fruit Blend (SKU# 51191) due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria causing listeriosis. This particular recall was part of a larger frozen fruit recall, which affected products in other stores like Walmart, Aldi, and Target.

The recall was announced on June 21, and no illnesses related to the product had been reported at that time. All potentially contaminated products were promptly removed from store shelves and destroyed, according to Trader Joe's.

In addition, another recall was issued on March 16 for the Organic Tropical Fruit Blend due to potential contamination with Hepatitis A. Again, there were no reported illnesses associated with this recall, and the affected products were removed from sale and destroyed.

Trader Joe's Instant Cold Brew Coffee was also recalled on May 24 due to the possibility of glass contamination. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all potentially affected products were removed from shelves.

In regards to all recalls, Trader Joe’s encourages customers to reach out to Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817 or use the company's product feedback form.
