Taylor Swift has formally launched her friendship with Travis Kelce on her social media. The pop singer introduced the NFL player to her followers through her inaugural TikTok video on Monday, February 12.

The video was taken from a Super Bowl afterparty held in Las Vegas. The video starts with 34-year-old Travis cheekily sticking his tongue out at the camera. Swift, also 34, rotates her camera to capture the scene of her parents, Scott Swift and Andrea Swift, enjoying the raucous party. The video clippings were concluded by Swift capturing her own unsure expression as she humorously wondered about her decision to bring her parents along at the club.

The video was captioned by Swift as “Accidentally going clubbing with your parents is something everyone should try at least once in their life”, followed by a message within the video stating, “It’s a friends and family party they said. Bring your parents they said.”

The Swift family had ample reason to celebrate as Travis had just led the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory. Swift and her entire family were present at the game, watching the Chiefs clinch a 25-22 win in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift's personal contents posted on social media delighted her fans. The singer maintained a low-profile during her relationship with Joe Alwyn, which lasted more than six years, from 2016 to 2023. In December 2023, she expressed her change in approach toward maintaining a public relationship while dating Travis.

“In a public relationship, I get to witness him excel at what he loves,” Swift shared. “We’re there to support each other, disregarding the presence of others. The alternative requires intensive efforts to ensure your relationship remains hidden. But we're simply proud of each other."

Besides the Super Bowl, Taylor cheered Travis on in 12 other NFL games during the 2023-2024 season, unabashedly showing affection for him after he clinched the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl.

“With time, I’ve realized I can't waste energy over trivial things,” she continued. “Being spotted during a dinner outing might cause a ruckus, but I still want to dine out with friends. Life is fleeting. Embrace the adventures. Staying locked inside my house for years, I can't retrieve that lost time. I'm more trusting now than I was six years back.”
