Jamie from Married at First Sight Steps Back from Wife Elizabeth Bice: Uncertain Future Ahead
Married at First Sight star Jamie Thompson announced via Instagram on Saturday, April 22 that he was “taking time away” from his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Bice, after being together for four years. Thompson, who starred in season 9, shared that he needed to take a break to focus on himself to become the best version of himself. He added that he couldn’t predict what the future holds for his relationship with Beth, but was confident he would become a stronger person regardless.
Many of Thompson’s fans praised his honesty in the comment section, with one sharing their own story of separation and reconciliation after individual and marriage counseling. Thompson appreciated the comment and thanked them for sharing.
Thompson later clarified in his Instagram stories that Beth was the first to leave due to the constant fighting they’d been experiencing. He expressed regret for what he said during fights but also revealed Beth hadn’t given any effort to fixing the issues. Thompson felt it was better to take time for himself to become a better person.
The announcement was a surprise for many MAFS fans since the couple recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in March. The couple’s love story started as strangers on the TV show and led to some blow-up arguments that Thompson and Beth managed to work through. They chose to stay together on Decision Day and had made Denver, Colorado their home.
