Player ratings as Manchester City secure Super Cup with penalty shootout victory over Sevilla
Manchester City secured their first ever UEFA Super Cup with a penalty shootout victory against Sevilla on Wednesday night. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.
Sevilla took the lead in the first half through Youssef En-Nesyri, but Cole Palmer equalized for Manchester City just over an hour into the game. With no extra time, the match went to penalties.
The shootout was flawless until Nemanja Gudelj hit the bar with the tenth penalty, giving Manchester City the advantage. They went on to win the shootout and claim the Super Cup.
