Leny Yoro Declares Unwavering Commitment to Manchester United
New Manchester United signing Leny Yoro says he is 'ready to die' for the club in strong words that will undoubtedly please Red Devils fans.
The Premier League outfit beat Real Madrid to the signing of the young French defender, who comes with a reputation of being one of the most promising players in world football.
Yoro made his unofficial United debut in the 2-0 pre-season victory over Rangers at the weekend, starting alongside 36-year-old veteran Jonny Evans, and could partner Lisandro Martinez in central defence once the Argentina international returns from his successful Copa America campaign.
He attracted praise from manager Ten Hag for his impressive first appearance for the club and now says he is ready to put it all on the line for United.
He said: 'Manchester United is the biggest club in the world. For me, it was a dream to play for this club! The fans here are incredible.
'I spoke with Ten Hag. He wants players who really want to win. When he puts me on the pitch, I'm ready to die for this club.'
Yoro has already admitted his eagerness to test himself in the formidable Premier League, admitting 'the level is crazy' in England.
The teenager played 32 Ligue 1 matches last season, starting 30 of them. He scored two goals and helped Lille finish fourth, giving them a shot of reaching the Champions League group stage with a spot in the third qualifying round.
Speaking about his move to United, Yoro added: 'For me, this is the biggest championship in the world,' Yoro said. 'For me, the Premier League, this is where the football fully exists. So the fans, the level - because the level is crazy there, there is not an easy game - and, for me, the Premier League is the biggest in the world.'
