Jurgen Klopp Reveals Expected Schedule for Managerial Comeback
According to Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool coach, he plans to take a year-long break from work prior to thinking about another managerial role.
At the end of the current season, Klopp plans on stepping down from Liverpool's management, expressing possible permanency in his decision for the sake of living a "normal guy's" life, as he stated during his announcement.
For at least a year, Klopp stated in his press conference on Friday, he has no plans of considering any other job, despite demonstrating a slightly more open stance regarding his future career, should he decide to return working.
'When I first got here, I was just an average person. That's still how I see myself, completely,' he said. 'I've never experienced this life before, and I desire it, but not as exceedingly as before. A summer break of just three or four weeks used to suffice, but not anymore.
'As for what's coming next, it's uncertain to me at this time. This much I know: no club, no country for next year. I can guarantee that I will never manage another English club. Even if it means going hungry, this will not occur.'
Klopp firmly asserted that his decision to leave Liverpool is absolute, and that even a triumphant finale to his reign would not sway him to reconsider.
'No, not at all,' he exclaimed. 'Our internal rapport has always made the circumstances evident. The decision needed to be made at some point and I was the only one to do it, due our mutual trust and respect.
'The decision was for me to make because I don't want to overstay my welcome. I have put a lot of thought into it. I aim to achieve success this season but it wouldn't alter my verdict. Even if we don't score any victories, my decision remains. This decision is not dependant on any outcomes.
'We have a solid foundation to build upon, which is crucial. That's why it's an opportune time to pass the reins.'
