"Delving into Love Island's Kaz and Tyler's Relationship: Unveiling the True Cause of Their Breakup"
Love Island All-Stars is not holding anything back when it comes to getting former couples, such as Tyler Cruickshank and Kaz Kamwi, back together.
As one of the new arrivals in the villa on Monday night (22 January), Tyler's entry took fans by surprise as another ex was added to the mix.
When they first appeared on the popular ITV dating show a few years earlier, Kaz and Tyler ended in fourth place and left the villa as a couple, optimistic about their future together in the outside world.
Yet, they broke up only a few months later. This brings up the question: is there still unfinished business between them?
Their relationship history and the reasons behind their split warrant further investigation...
Kaz was a part of Love Island's season seven in 2021 and was paired up with Toby Aromolaran right from day one. Eventually, she explored a connection with Aaron Francis before Tyler entered the villa as a new bombshell on day 23.
The two became a couple, but the situation complicated during Casa Amor week when Tyler decided to switch to Clarisse Juliette after returning to the main villa.
Subsequently, Kaz recoupled with Matthew MacNabb, who later ended their romance due to Kaz's ongoing conversations and flirting with Tyler.
On day 45, Kaz and Tyler recoupled and ended up in fourth place in the series, edged out by Millie Court and Liam Reardon.
After leaving the show as boyfriend and girlfriend, they continued their romance in real life. The couple seemed to be growing stronger as they regularly shared romantic photos and attended high-profile events together. During this phase, they even talked about future plans and potential baby names.
However, after dating for just four months, they announced their breakup in December 2021.
The couple stated that the difficulty of adapting to public life was the cause of their breakup.
In a joint statement at the time, they expressed: 'We are tremendously saddened to announce that we have decided to conclude our romantic relationship. We've had an incredible journey which will always unite us. We pledge to support each other continuously and remain an integral part of each other's lives. Having shared the Love Island journey with each other, we intend to keep supporting one another's careers.'
They further mentioned: 'Life after the villa has been fantastic, but adapting to the public life has been a challenge. This phase of our journey has not been easy, but we're enriching from the experience. We would like to express our gratitude to each person that has stood by us.'
Fast forward to February 2022, three months after their breakup, Kaz criticized Tyler publicly. She expressed feeling unappreciated in their relationship, deeming herself as 'very naive' and suggesting that the relationship could have been a pretense on Tyler’s part.
The television personality reflected that she had committed entirely to the relationship, yet felt undervalued. She shared: 'I learnt a lot from that breakup and from that phase. Not all relationships work out and unfortunately, this was one of them. I was always genuine, and I was as real as I would be in any other relationship. I gave it my all. Unfortunately, I don’t feel I was fully appreciated. But that’s life and sometimes it happens. And that’s okay.'
