Christina Hall from HGTV Reflects on a Difficult Mother's Day, Admitting Faults
Christina Hall (nee Haack), star of Christina on the Coast, took to Instagram on Mother's Day to reflect on the past year of her life and share her struggles. In her post, Christina, 39, opened up about being in a "very bad place" one year ago as she dealt with ongoing family issues, a health scare, and an "extremely unnecessary custody battle" with ex-husband Ant Anstead over their son, Hudson.
In the midst of her turmoil, Christina received an "amazing care package" from the owner of the rental property where she and her family were staying. She broke down in tears and opened up to the owner about what she was going through, finding comfort in their shared experience. "Shortly after that things turned around and fell into place," Christina wrote. "I know I've made mistakes, but I know what I've done right. I know with all my heart my kids love me, and I know I'm a good mom."
Christina's custody battle with ex-husband Ant Anstead made headlines in April 2022 when he filed for full custody of their son, claiming that Christina only spent "nine full days each month" with Hudson. Christina expressed her sadness about the situation and stood by her motherhood, telling Life & Style, "I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them."
The former couple eventually reached an agreement in their custody dispute in November 2022, with records obtained by People showing they will "continue to have joint legal and joint physical custody" as originally agreed in June 2021.
