Gerry and Theresa from Golden Bachelor Embrace the Holiday Season as a United 'Blended Family'

The holiday season is a time for family and this is particularly true for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist from The Golden Bachelor. They are happily showcasing their united family.

Gerry, 72, used social media on December 9 to share an image of Theresa, 70, their adult daughters, all of them sporting sweatshirts that declared “a very Gerry Christmas." The cheerful picture is evidence that Gerry and Theresa’s relationship after the show is flourishing and their families are bonding well.

A comparable photo was posted by Jen Woolston, Theresa’s daughter, where she revealed that it was Braxton, her nephew, who came up with the phrase, a Very Gerry Christmas, which was an instant hit with the family. The customised warm sweatshirts were the highlight of the pictures.

This first festive season together for Gerry and Theresa is set against the backdrop of their engagement and upcoming wedding in January 2024. Adding to it are the consequences of Gerry's unexpected scandal. A day before the final episode of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry’s former partner, referred to as Carolyn for confidentiality reasons, had some revelations. She claimed that the retired charming man viewers had been adoring, was not what he seemed.

Carolyn alleged that not long after the death of Gerry’s wife, Toni, they were in a relationship. This brought a drastic change in Gerry's portrayal as a widower, who seemed ready to date six years after his wife's death. Viewers were shocked to find out he contacted Carolyn merely a month after Toni’s death.

“Everyone fell for Gerry's persona. He seemed like the ideal candidate... However, he's been unmasked as a fraud. This is a massive, humiliating mess," a source explained to Life & Style, while discussing the aftermath of Gerry's revelation.

Theresa, on the other hand, was reportedly taken aback by these allegations against her future husband, but she remains firmly supportive of Gerry.

A separate source stated to Life & Style that “The question is, if he can lie about this, what else could he lie about? Is there more to come out? However, he and Theresa have spoken about it. She trusts him and they've moved beyond it.”

The successful airing of ‘The Golden Bachelor’ and news of the possible spinoff, ‘The Golden Bachelorette’, led to great anticipation. However, Gerry's scandal could cause a halt to the plans. The source added, “The news has definitely slowed down the excitement and left a mark on their faces."
