Shutting Up is the Best Defense for Brittany Matthews to Protect Patrick Mahomes' Brother Jackson Mahomes
Brittany Matthews has come to the defense of her brother-in-law Jackson Mahomes, amidst several controversies he has been involved in.
During an Instagram Story Q&A on April 16, a fan asked Matthews, who is married to NFL star Patrick Mahomes, how she felt about the comments surrounding her BIL. In response, Matthews said, “They are ignorant… until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s–t about him 🙂. So it’s best to just shut up.”
It is unknown which comments the fan was referring to, but Jackson has found himself in the center of negative attention multiple times. The most recent allegations were quite serious, and Jackson is currently under investigation for an alleged assault.
In March, the Kansas City Star reported that Jackson was accused of shoving a teen waiter and forcibly kissing restaurant owner Aspen Vaughn. Vaughn told the Star, “He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere… I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.”
Jackson’s lawyer has denied the allegations, stating that “Jackson has done nothing wrong… We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter.”
Before the assault allegations, Jackson made headlines for pranks and immature behavior. He poured water on Ravens fans who taunted him after a Kansas City Chiefs loss in September 2022. He also made a TikTok while standing on the late Sean Taylor’s number, which caused controversy.
Despite some fans’ negative reactions to Jackson’s behavior, Patrick shut down a report in February 2022 that he no longer wanted Matthews or Jackson at his games because they were a “distraction” and “their sideline antics are bad for his brand.”
