When and how can you watch the King's Speech? - OK! Magazine
King Charles is set to deliver his annual Christmas speech to the nation later today.
Having already given one festive address, this year has been particularly busy for the monarch, encompassing events such as his crowning, celebrating his 75th birthday, undertaking several vital overseas visits and navigating numerous family issues.
By delivering a Christmas speech, the King continues a tradition that was introduced by King George V in 1932. The annual address was only available on the radio until 1957, when Queen Elizabeth II's message was first telecast.
His Majesty will make his appearance on TV today at 3pm, and convey his Christmas message to the nation.
The speech will be broadcast simultaneously on various platforms, including BBC One, ITV, Sky One, Sky News, and can be heard on BBC Radio 4.
The Royal Family’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page will also broadcast the message online.
The pre-recorded message will be supplemented with relevant visuals.
While the specifics of his address are yet to be disclosed, the King is expected to discuss some significant moments of his year, ranging from his coronation on May 6 to his 75th birthday on November 14.
Like his late mother, it is likely that the King will acknowledge the religious importance of Christmas and mention some of the current global events such as the conflict in Ukraine and the Gaza crisis.
His previous year's address, which was recorded in St George's Chapel, Windsor, saw the King honor his late mother and her belief in mankind's capacity for goodness.
The King's Christmas message can be watched on BBC One, ITV, Sky One, Sky News and heard on BBC Radio 4 at 3pm.
