Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund on a six-year contract.

The 19-year-old midfielder has become one of the most sought-after players in world football following an impressive three-year spell in Germany. Bellingham's move to the Santiago Bernabeu is believed to be worth €100m, plus additional add-ons, according to 90min sources.

Bellingham was highly sought after by Manchester City and Liverpool, but he opted to sign with the 14-time Champions League winners in May. Carlo Ancelotti's midfield options now include Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde, and veterans Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

Bellingham made 132 appearances for Dortmund and will be presented as a Real Madrid player on Thursday at noon. The teenager's move to Madrid marks the end of a long-running saga. Manchester United had been keen on signing Bellingham from Birmingham City when he was only 16 years old, and Sir Alex Ferguson even met with his family. However, he chose to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, who moved to Old Trafford after honing his craft in the Bundesliga.

Bellingham is already a regular fixture in Gareth Southgate's England side and played a starring role for the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup. He was just 17 years old when he made the squad for the delayed Euro 2020.
