According to sources, Napoli have come to terms with the possibility of selling star defender Kim Min-jae this summer, despite previously insisting that he would remain at the club.

Kim, who moved to Serie A from Fenerbahce last season, has emerged as one of the world's leading centre-backs and garnered interest from top clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool.

Although Napoli has attempted to secure the player with a new and improved contract, sources indicate that the club would find it challenging to refuse offers for Kim exceeding €60m, given the growing interest.

Manchester United has expressed interest in a right-footed centre-back, with Jurrien Timber of Ajax and Antonio Silva of Benfica also on their radar. Representatives from the club were in attendance at Napoli's recent 1-0 victory over Fiorentina.

Other top clubs, such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Paris Saint-Germain, have been eyeing Kim for some time.

While a contract extension is still a possibility, it appears that Napoli may have no choice but to part ways with the 26-year-old if they receive a significant offer. Kim's current deal has a release clause worth approximately €45m that is believed to be active for the first two weeks of the summer transfer window, but Financial Fair Play rules make it difficult for any team to pay that amount upfront.

Paris Saint-Germain has shown interest in Kim in the past, although their acquisition of Milan Skriniar on a free transfer from Inter this summer means they do not currently view a new centre-back as a top priority.
