It's quite usual today, but in my viewpoint, Miley Cyrus was a pioneering pop icon who introduced brave, dramatic changes creating surprising rebrands that startled her followers. (Her shift from Hannah Montana to the "Can't Be Tamed" phase is permanently etched in my memory.)

Presently, the Grammy Award-winning artist is comfortable in her pop-rock avatar and embraces her two-toned icy bronde locks. Yet, in a surprising move this week, Cyrus revealed an almost completely brown hairdo that left us all double checking.

Just the previous day, the "Flowers" singer announced her participation on David Letterman's Netflix series "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" on Instagram and fans were equally excited about hearing a new live performance from her, with her new brown hair being the center of attention.

Flowing down her back, Cyrus can be seen at the mike with mostly brown hair slicked back and styled straight—a major departure from the blonde, bouffant styles we are accustomed to. Reviews on her post confirm that the change is indeed well received by her fans, with comments such as, “Digging the hair. It looks amazing on you. It fits you perfectly,” and, “OMG the hair!! I thought this was from ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ era!! WOW!!!”
