David de Gea's contract talks continue while Man Utd searches for new goalkeeper
Manchester United are currently in contract negotiations with goalkeeper David de Gea, as his current deal is set to expire at the end of the month. However, the club is also exploring potential replacement options and have been keeping an eye on the goalkeeper market, according to sources at 90min.
Despite receiving a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League, De Gea is expected to turn it down in favour of staying at Old Trafford. However, with less than two weeks left on his current contract, he has yet to reach an agreement with Man Utd.
As a result, the club has been considering alternatives, with Diogo Costa of Porto and David Raya of Brentford among their top targets. Tottenham have also been pursuing Raya, but are unwilling to meet the Bees' £40m asking price, leaving the door open for United to step in.
Another possibility for the club is Andre Onana, who has worked with United assistant coach Erik ten Hag during his time at Ajax. While Inter may need to sell the Cameroonian goalkeeper to balance their books, Chelsea have recently cooled their interest in the 27-year-old.
If De Gea does sign a new contract with United, it is less likely that the club will spend a significant amount on a new goalkeeper. However, Bayern Munich's Yann Sommer remains a target in that scenario.
