On Sunday, scouts from Manchester United and other teams were in attendance at Allianz Arena to scout Serhou Guirassy, a striker from Stuttgart. Despite his team's 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, Guirassy's performance drew significant attention.

In the 2023/24 season, Guirassy has made headlines, scoring 16 goals—a tally only surpassed by Harry Kane's 20 in Europe's most competitive leagues.

Sources say that representatives from United traveled to Bavaria to monitor Guirassy's performance. Additionally, Fulham, West Ham, and Milan also had officials present for similar scouting purposes.

Kane succeeded in scoring twice in the game, further solidifying his lead in the Bundesliga and European Golden Shoe rankings. In contrast, Bayern's central defenders, Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano, kept Guirassy firmly under control, limiting him to just one shot.

It was recently noted by 90min that Guirassy's team is hoping for a move to a Premier League club during the upcoming January transfer window. Several clubs, including United, Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Wolverhampton, have been approached about a potential deal. Other teams such as Bournemouth, Brentford, and Crystal Palace have also expressed interest by sending scouts to observe Guirassy during the season.

The necessity for a seasoned striker at United has become evident this season, registering a mere 18 goals in 17 Premier League matches. Rasmus Hojlund, a newcomer this summer, managed to score five goals in the Champions League but has yet to score domestically.

Since his initial loan to Stuttgart in 2022/23, Guirassy, aged 27, has performed impressively, netting 32 goals in 41 games. This performance led to a permanent contract during the most recent summer transfer window.

Guirassy is anticipated to join the Guinea team for the Africa Cup of Nations, which commences on January 13. Nevertheless, competing nations have the option to call up players up to two weeks prior to the start date.
