Sources have confirmed to 90min that Julian Nagelsmann has met with Chelsea to discuss potentially becoming their next manager. Informal talks had already been held between Nagelsmann's representatives and the club in recent weeks, as Chelsea built up a shortlist of potential targets.

The club's directors, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, who are leading the search for a successor to Graham Potter, have now personally met with Nagelsmann to discuss his vision for the club and suitability for the project. Another top target, Luis Enrique, has also recently met with Chelsea chiefs.

Nagelsmann and Enrique remain the leading candidates, though Mauricio Pochettino and Ruben Amorim are also on Chelsea's shortlist. The co-owners of the club, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, are determined to make the right decision and are prepared to oversee an extensive process to ensure the best-possible candidate is hired.

The potential managers have been asked about their visions for the club's young stars, including on-loan centre-back Levi Colwill, who has been earmarked for a first-team role next season after an impressive loan spell with Brighton.

On this week's Talking Transfers podcast, Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey, and Toby Cudworth discuss Liverpool's missed opportunity with Jude Bellingham, Chelsea potentially keeping Mason Mount, and Ryan Gravenberch's interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

Bayern Munich have suspended Sadio Mane after he punched Leroy Sane, and the latest updates on Harry Kane's future amid contract talks with Tottenham and interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United are discussed. Plus, how Erling Haaland's goal record stacks up against Bayern Munich.
