Kamala Harris Assures Concerns About Joe Biden's Age Are Unfounded

There's been continuous discussion over the concern regarding Joe Biden's age. This speculation isn't just among voters but largely among Republicans. Donald Trump, despite only being three years younger than Biden, has consistently tried to paint the current president as a cognitive disaster and a joke on the verge of death.

Despite these prejudices, it is logical to choose a leader that hasn't triggered an insurrection (as was the case in January 2021) rather than someone who did. Moreover, it is worth noting that Trump and Biden aren't significantly different in age. However, the arguments on Biden's behalf could definitely benefit from being more substantial than simply stating that he's still alive and active, such as the one presented by Kamala Harris a few days ago.

When Harris encountered a question about her electability during a 60 Minutes interview, should President Biden be unable to run for any reason, her response was to completely disregard the hypothetical, asserting confidently that Joe Biden is indeed in good health and vigor to run for reelection. However, her caption is barely better than explicitly saying, He's not technically dead.

Despite this rather unfortunate choice of words, a Biden in action is arguably a preferable choice over a second Trump stint. The criticism over Biden's cognitive function seems all the more ridiculous considering Trump's recent mix-ups. These include confusing the leaderships of Turkey and Hungary, mixing up Jeb Bush with George W. Bush, misidentifying Barack Obama as his 2016 opponent, and a recent incident where he was unaware of the state he was currently in.
