This year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! competition in Australia has welcomed Nella Rose, the 26-year-old YouTube star and host of Catfish UK. She stands as the youngest competitor this year.

Nella Rose is in the company of a celebrity-studded ensemble, including former Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage, Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears, Josie Gibson from This Morning, Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard, Sam Thompson from Made In Chelsea, Fred Sirieix who hosts Channel 4 First Dates, food critic Grace Dent, Marvin Humes from JLS, and Danielle Harold, who formerly starred in EastEnders.

But who exactly is Nella Rose? We will explore her biography, her career trajectory, her transformation, and the heartbreaking story of her parents' death that led to her and her brother becoming homeless.

Nella Rose spent her early years in Belgium before she relocated to the UK with her mother and older brother Albert when she was seven.

Her YouTube career commenced in 2015, during which she shared hair and fashion tutorials.

Nella is probably best known for her role on MTV's Catfish UK alongside Oobah Butler. She also appears on the Footasylum YouTube channel and has her personal series with PrettyLittleThing, titled The Pink Courtroom.

Nella has launched her own clothing line with PrettyLittleThing and is an ambassador for Fashion Nova's Curve range. She also owns a streetwear brand named Faces London.

Nella narrated her weight loss transformation journey on social media in 2019, due to her dissatisfaction with her look in various fashion campaigns.

In her popular YouTube channel, she said, 'I felt like I was overweight and my fat was changing the way I looked.'

Nonetheless, Nella maintains that she was self-love-driven even when she was at size 16 and passionately encourages body positivity.

She lost weight by working with Protein World on a fitness routine and intermittent fasting, wherein she would stop eating past 4pm alongside 30-minute gym sessions.

During her university years, Nella experienced the devastating loss of both her parents. Her mother died suddenly in 2016 while her father passed away four years after that.

Upon her mother's death, the council repossessed their family home, leaving Nella to fend for herself and reside either at Leicester University or with friends. She opened up about it to her YouTube subscribers: 'She died in my arms. It is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life.'

Nella was left homeless and resorted to living at her university room or going on sponsored trips abroad during holidays to escape the harsh reality of her situation. Although life was tough as she was bouncing around without a permanent home, she decided to rent her first flat in London at 20.

In her tribute to her late father, Nella stated 'Rest in Peace Daddy. It's been the toughest month of my life seeing you suffer, but at least you're not hurting anymore. I will do my utmost to make you the proudest dad ever because I know you're still with me every step.'
