Influencers Alex Madison and Jon Bouffard Celebrate Birth of Baby Girl Following Pregnancy Loss

It’s unimaginable to consider the emotional toll of a pregnancy loss. But it was a happy ending for podcast hosts and influencers Alex Madison and Jon Bouffard, who welcomed a baby girl this week just over a year after they experienced a second-trimester miscarriage.
The husband and wife duo, who host the “Give It To Me Straight Podcast,” shared the good news in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“Our hardest chapter brought us the sweetest beginning. Welcome home, Lucy Grey,” the couple captioned the gallery of photos, in which Madison can be seen cradling the newborn as Bouffard gently reached down to touch noses and place a hand on the child.
The second photo shows a closeup of Madison’s neck, featuring a delicate gold chain with two “L” charms, one for Lucy Grey and one for the child they lost, Leo Grey.
Madison and Bouffard previously shared in June of 2024 that they had lost their child in the second trimester.
“We are absolutely devastated to share the news that we lost our sweet baby boy this week,” the couple shared to Instagram in a joint statement. “There are no words that can truly capture the depth of this pain. Nothing can prepare you for this. Our hearts will never be the same.”
“I had the privilege of carrying you for 26 weeks, and we will carry you in our hearts for a lifetime,” Madison added. “Until we meet again, Leo Grey.”

Before the passing of their son, Madison and Bouffard opened up to People about becoming first-time parents.
“Some people know they want to become parents, but for us, we weren’t sure. We kept going back and forth, trying to decide what would be the best decision for us,” Madison said at the time. “It wasn’t until we started thinking about our future outside of our careers that we realized this was something we wanted. I don’t think we ever would have felt ‘ready,’ but it’s a new chapter we’re so excited to open together.”
“We knew we were ready when we talked about becoming parents every day. It became part of our regular conversation, and the timing finally felt right,” Bouffard added. “I’m excited to have a mini ‘us’ enter the world. Half of me, half of her. But hopefully, it’s 100% her personality.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, about 15 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. However, miscarriages in the second trimester are much more uncommon and only affect roughly one to five percent of pregnancies. Generally, barring any preexisting conditions, your risk of miscarriage declines with each week of pregnancy.
