The notable television program, Gladiators, has made a triumphant return to our television screens this year, hosted by the father-son combination of Bradley Walsh and Barney Walsh.

This BBC production puts its contestants through a series of taxing challenges, racing against the ultra-fit Gladiators.

The comeback of this beloved 90s show is scoring big with audiences, seeing the Gladiators gain new-found popularity, assisted by the reach of social media.

Gladiator's main host, Bradley, 63, was born in Watford and is reported to have a net worth of approximately £18.6 million, making him the 'highest earning UK solo TV host'. Figures from his firm, WingIt Productions, revealed that Bradley netted £3.5million in the last year alone, as reported by The Sun in July.

A person privy to television matters shared with the news outlet: 'Bradley is truly at the height of his game currently, pulling in significant earnings. He has cemented his position at the pinnacle of his field, being the first name for both BBC and ITV. And this looks like it'll continue, as audiences simply can't get enough.'

Bradley, who is also well-known for hosting ITV game show, The Chase, battled adversity early in his career. In an interview with The Telegraph in 2012, he candidly talked about his humble beginnings, revealing that he 'grew up in a council house' and stated: 'My mother had to work tirelessly as a single parent to meet our needs. At one stage, she maintained three separate jobs. We had a fulfilling childhood, but we definitely didn't have abundant money.'

Bradley's son Barney, aged 25, has become a public figure thanks to his famous father.

In 2019, they both premiered their own television show, Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, which proved to be immensely successful among viewers, running for five seasons up to now.

Barney's current net worth is estimated at £4 million and seems set to soar as he continues to get TV exposure.

Gold medalist sprinter from Team GB and Gladiator personality, 35-year old Harry Aikines Aryeetey, known as Nitro, has been competing at the world stage from a very young age.

He now enjoys significant popularity on Instagram, with a potential to earn up to £3000 for a sponsored post on the platform.

He previously told the BBC with joy: 'Becoming a Gladiator is another huge achievement! A childhood dream realized!'

Track and field star, Matt Morsia, known as Legend in Gladiators, has lent his talents to this rebooted show.

He boasts one million Instagram followers and over 355 million views on YouTube, with an estimated income of up to £1500 per sponsored Instagram post.

Elle-Mae Rayner, ex-gymnast and now known as Comet in Gladiators, has transitioned to a fitness model and occupies a significant space on social media.

The estimated payout per sponsored post for her is £1,300 and she regularly dispenses fitness and diet advice on her Instagram posts.

Fitness zealot Zack George, known as Steel on the show, was hailed the UK's Fittest Man 2020.

The family-centric figure often shares fitness and health posts on social media and counts Ashley Cain among his friends.

His sponsored Instagram posts reportedly earn him around £860.

Jamie Christian Johal, a former firefighter-turned bodybuilder turned Gladiator, has earned himself the sobriquet of Giant on the show, thanks to his 6ft 5in stature.

He counts as his fan I'm A Celeb 2023 winner Sam Thompson and he's estimated to earn approximately £640 for a social media post.

Fitness enthusiast Sheli McCoy, also known as Sabre on Gladiators, spends 16-19 hours per week keeping her impressive figure in shape.

She manages her own gym in Dundee and specializes in competitive weightlifting and CrossFit. She earns an estimated £550 per Instagram post.

Quoting her conversation with the BBC: “I truly hope Sabre will inspire and empower the younger generation of strong capable females just as the Gladiators I once watched inspired me to be a confident athletic women.'

Jodie Ounsley, also known as Furie in Gladiators, plays rugby for Exeter Chiefs and brings her competitive streak to the Gladiator world.

Along with rugby, Jodie is a British Champion at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a five-time World Coal Carrying champion.

Bearing a pedigree, her father was a contender on the show in 2008.

She is reported to earn around £418 per Instagram post.

Karanjeet is a representative of Team GB in powerlifting, winning three Golds and two Silvers at the Commonwealth events.

She has clinched the All England Powerlifting Championship five times and is a five-time British Powerlifting Champion, also holding a Guinness World Record for Most Bodyweight Squats in a Minute.

With around 37,300 Instagram followers, she is believed to earn £380 per sponsored Instagram post.

Livi is no stranger to the fitness world. From her young days, she has been playing football and has also competed as a bodybuilder.

She is estimated to earn up to £284 per sponsored Instagram post.

Jade Packer - aka Electro - calls herself an athlete, model and a creative on Instagram, where she earns an estimated £276 per post.

Emily Steel - aka Dynamite - has a passion for swimming, CrossFit and weightlifting, and she earns around £205 for an Instagram post.

Toby Olubi – aka Phantom is thought to earn £114 per post on Instagram, where he often posts motivational content about health and fitness.

Alex Gray - aka Apollo started his career as rugby union player, making the England Sevens team as well as captaining the English Rugby teams for Under 16s, 18s and 20s. before being scouted to the NFL.

He's thought to earn £100 per post.

GB’s first ever winter and summer Olympic athlete, Montell Douglas, who specialises in sprinting, is estimated to earn £70 per post.

Matty Campbell - aka Bionic towers above the other Gladiators at 6ft 6in. He uses his social media page to promote body positivity and often speaks about body dysmorphia in men.
