Real Madrid have unveiled new signing Endrick at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the teenage prodigy having now turned 18 and officially eligible to make the move from Brazil.

Endrick's switch from Palmeiras was formally announced almost two years ago in December 2022, but he and the club had to wait until he was old enough for an international transfer, similar to previous captures of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo in the Spanish capital.

The striker celebrated his milestone birthday a week ago and was paraded in Madrid in front of fans on Saturday. Endrick has signed his six-year contract until 2030 and was able to dress in the famous all-white kit for the first time. He will wear the number 16 shirt this season.

'It's a dream I've had since I was little and I'm fulfilling it,' Endrick said as he tearfully addressed media.

'It's a wonderful city with wonderful Real Madrid fans. I'm very grateful to God because only he knows what I've been through and what I've dreamed of. Today this dream is coming true. It's a huge responsibility but I'm very grateful for what's happening in my life.'

Endrick arrives to a number of familiar faces, with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Militao all international colleagues and with him at the Copa America earlier in the summer.

'They have helped me a lot,' the youngster said of his fellow Brazilians.

'They talked to me about Real Madrid because the time was coming for me to come here. They talked to me about training, matches...I was focused on the Copa America, but now I hope we can forge a strong friendship to help Real Madrid.

'We have talked a lot about what could happen. The winter, the heat, personal things about Madrid, what the city is like, the weather, the pitches...

'There have been many things we have talked about, but I am very calm and happy. I am looking forward to being able to play and help Real Madrid, whether by scoring or assisting...the important thing is to help. I hope to score and dedicate it to the fans.'
