Even though it's still summer, Black Friday 2024 is just around the corner and we've got all the details to help you shop like a pro, from when the sales will start to where to find the best bargains.

For those who love a good shopping spree or those looking to save on their Christmas shopping, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the surrounding days are ones to circle in your diary. It's typically a time when you can find amazing deals on almost every type of product, from tech and appliances to fashion and beauty.

We'll be updating this page with our pick of some of the best deals as soon as we spot them, but here's everything we know so far – including our top offers already live.

Black Friday doesn't fall on the same date every year, although it traditionally lands on the first Friday after the American celebration of Thanksgiving. This year, that means it'll take place on 29 November 2024, reports the Mirror.

Four weekends before Christmas, it marks one of the busiest and best shopping events of the year, and a great opportunity to tick off your Christmas shopping list while saving money.

You'll usually be able to shop thousands of impressive money-saving deals across the whole weekend until Cyber Monday (2 December) with certain offers even starting earlier and carrying on longer.

While most retailers will kick off their Black Friday sales at 00:01 on 29 November 2024, many will start offering early deals in the week leading up to the big day. If you've got your sights set on a specific item, it's worth keeping an eye on the brand's website in the run-up to Black Friday to ensure you don't miss out on the biggest savings.

Some brands even offer the option to sign up for notifications when deals go live.

Typically, Black Friday deals last the entire weekend and wrap up at 11:59 on Cyber Monday, which falls on 2 December 2024 this year. While some prices may continue to drop as the weekend progresses, waiting too long to buy could mean missing out if your favourite item sells out.

The term 'Black Friday' is said to have originated from the phrase used by US police to describe the crowds and heavy traffic that marked the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Today, it's widely used by retailers to denote this day (or days) of deals at the end of November.

As for which brands are participating in Black Friday this year, we can't say for certain yet. However, you can expect many of the major online and high street stores to join in, including big names like Amazon, John Lewis, eBay, LookFantastic, ASOS, Boots and Currys.

Last year's Black Friday 2023 was a bonanza of deals, with top brands like Argos, Samsung, Ninja and Apple all offering discounts.

With so many retailers launching sales, it can be tricky to know if you're getting the best deal. Our advice? Shop around before hitting 'buy' to make sure you're getting your favourite item at the lowest price.

Our team of shopping experts here at OK! will be keeping you updated throughout the weekend, bringing you all the best deals as they pop up.

Even though Black Friday is still a few months away, we've found some irresistible offers that are live right now from Amazon, Dunelm and Simba.
