Vin Diesel shared a video from a family gathering marking the Fast & Furious franchise’s 25th anniversary, revealing that iconic vehicles from the series will be showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum with a ribbon-cutting set for March 12.

Diesel posted the video on Instagram on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Standing alongside him was Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker — a pairing that underscores the real-life bonds the franchise has built over two and a half decades.

In the footage, Diesel described the scene as a “Sunday family dinner” filled with “old tales, nostalgic anecdotes” tied to the 25th anniversary. He said he and Meadow were particularly excited about the franchise’s vehicles being showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

“Meadow and I were particularly thrilled, for some reason, about the fact that our vehicles from Fast and Furious are going to be showcased, premiered, displayed? At the Petersen Car Museum,” Diesel said.

Diesel also revealed a specific date for the exhibit’s opening. He said Meadow told family members she was excited that Paul Walker Foundation merchandise would be available at the Petersen Museum.

“And when are we cutting the ribbon? On the 12th of this month. 12th of this month, March. Sending all my love,” he said.

That put the ribbon-cutting at March 12 — just days after Diesel posted the video. The inclusion of Paul Walker Foundation merchandise connects the franchise celebration directly to the charitable work carried on in Walker’s name.

For longtime fans, the sight of Diesel and Meadow Walker together at a family dinner is one of the most emotionally resonant threads in the franchise’s off-screen story. Paul Walker died in 2013 at age 40 in a car crash in California. He was a passenger in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT driven by Roger Rodas. The vehicle collided with a concrete light pole and two trees before catching fire.

Diesel has maintained a visible, close relationship with Meadow Walker in the years since. That they shared a Sunday dinner table to jointly celebrate this milestone speaks to a bond that goes beyond any press tour or promotional appearance.

The Fast & Furious franchise began with the 2001 film The Fast and the Furious, directed by Rob Cohen and starring Diesel, Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. The film was inspired by the 1998 Vibe magazine article Racer X by Ken Li and was written by Gary Scott Thompson, Erik Bergquist and David Ayer.

Universal expanded the franchise with the spin-off film Hobbs & Shaw. An eleventh and concluding installment, titled Fast Forever, is scheduled for release in 2028.

The franchise’s scope now extends well beyond the big screen, including short films, a television series, merchandise, video games, live performances, and theme park attractions. The Petersen Museum exhibit joins that list as another way fans can experience the world of Fast & Furious.

Diesel chose to share this anniversary milestone not from a red carpet but from a family dinner table, with Meadow Walker beside him — mirroring everything the franchise has always claimed to be about.
