Interested Clubs, Including Man Utd, Eyed as Benjamin Pavard Expresses Desire to Depart Bayern Munich.
According to 90min, Manchester United has had discussions with Benjamin Pavard's representatives following the French international's expressed desire to leave Bayern Munich. Pavard has a year left on his current contract with the Bundesliga champions but informed the club that he wishes to explore opportunities in England, Italy, or Spain.
Several of Europe's top clubs, including Manchester City and Inter, have expressed their interest in Pavard, as have Real Madrid and Barcelona, who plan to hold talks once the Spanish league season concludes. Liverpool has held talks regarding Pavard's situation and potential interest in bringing him to Anfield, as well as potentially signing Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern.
At roughly €30m, Pavard's transfer represents a good value for money offer to the interested clubs, as Bayern is looking to sell with the player already indicating his desire to leave the club and raise funds to invest in their squad. United is also searching for cover at centre-back and right-back, with Pavard presenting a cheaper alternative to their previously reported targets, Napoli's Kim Min-jae and Ajax's Jurrien Timber.
Pavard has sought to leave Bayern for several months, well before the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as Julian Nagelsmann's replacement. His desire is to move to another European "giant." The defender remains open to several options and has expressed interest in moving to Italy to play with his friend, Olivier Giroud, at Milan.
