Amandine Ohayon has been appointed as the new CEO of Stella McCartney.

Starting next month, Ohayon, who is based in London, will succeed Gabriele Maggio, who will be leaving the eco-conscious luxury brand to seek new opportunities after a transition period. Ohayon was previously the CEO of Pronovias and in the earlier stages of her career gained substantial experience in the luxury sector, particularly within beauty. Her career began in 1998 as a Retail and Event Executive at Christian Lacroix, in New York. In 1999, she transitioned to L’Oréal and became the Lancôme product manager in Paris. Over her 18-year tenure with the group, she worked in luxury skincare, fragrances & cosmetics, mostly in the UK.

She eventually became the Managing Director of L’Oréal Luxe division for the UK and Ireland. In 2018, she left L’Oréal for Pronovias, where she initiated significant structural changes and led profitable acquisitions, positioning the company as a global leader in the luxury bridal industry. She also secured a 10-year license agreement with Vera Wang.

Stella McCartney, the founder of the luxury brand, praised Ohayon's effective leadership, her extensive experience across various sectors and regions, and her passion for excellent and ethical fashion. McCartney is confident that Ohayon is the perfect partner for promoting sustainability in business. Ohayon also expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating her intent to innovate and grow the company while respecting its core values. McCartney also expressed gratitude and well-wishes to the outgoing CEO, Gabriele Maggio, acknowledging his significant contributions to the company over the past four years.
