Amanda Kloots Prepares Her Son Elvis for Mourning Nick Cordero's Passing

Amidst the grief of her husband Nick Cordero's death, Amanda Kloots is focused on helping her son Elvis prepare for the loss of his father. Elvis, now 3, was too young to remember his father who passed away on July 5, 2020, after a long battle with COVID. While discussing her book, Tell Me Your Dreams, with PEOPLE, Kloots shared that Elvis has already expressed sadness about his father's death. As a parent, it's heartbreaking for Kloots to see her son go through this, and she knows that she has yet to fully deal with Elvis's grief.

Despite this, Kloots is determined to keep Nick's memory alive for Elvis by incorporating him into their daily lives. Her latest children's book, Tell Me Your Dreams, features illustrations of their family and encourages children to bring their loved ones back to life in their dreams. Kloots hopes that her book will serve as a helpful tool for parents who are trying to introduce the concept of loss and death to their children.
