Claiming that they are "done having kids," the couple, parents to seven children within a span of nine years, revealed that their growing family - Carmen, 10, Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 3, Lucia, 3, and Ilaria, 19 months, - will be the focus of The Baldwins next year. Accompanied by noisy playful kids, Baldwin shared in the teaser video that the audience will be given a glimpse "into our home to experience the ups and downs; the good, the bad; the wild and the crazy," and added that “Home is the place we love to be most.”
Baldwin, also a grandfather after his 28 years old daughter Ireland, from his previous marriage with Kim Basinger, had her baby last year. He recently talked about experiencing fatherhood later in life during the Our Way With Paul Anka and Skip Bronson podcast. Citing that work became less interesting as he aged, he found a new joy in his wife and continuous addition to his family every time the youngest child turned two years old.
The announcement of the new reality show featuring the Baldwins comes as Baldwin continues his long drawn legal fight over the tragic accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the Rust movie set. Awaiting trial scheduled in July, Baldwin was indicted by a New Mexico grand jury and had existing charges of involuntary manslaughter brought against him earlier this year. He was originally charged and then had the charges dismissed in April 2023, asserting his innocence and trust in the crew. He and the Rust producers reached a settlement with the Hutchins family in October 2022. Based on New Mexico's law, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in jail if found guilty. This April, Hannah Gutierrez Reed - who loaded the fatal live round into Baldwin's firearm - was sentenced to serve 18 months behind bars.
