At least five people were injured in a shooting that took place on the night of Saturday, November 8 outside of a supermarket in San Francisco, California, authorities said.

The city’s police department said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. on November 8 where they found multiple victims near a Safeway in the Outer Richmond neighborhood, according to NBC News.

Two of the victims are in critical condition, according to ABC 7 News, and officials at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital said the victims’ ages range from 15 to 35 years old. NBC News reported that four of the victims were juveniles while a 35-year-old man was one of the victims with severe injuries. All five of the victims were taken to the hospital following the shooting.

No arrests have been made as of time of publication, according to police. Authorities added that they believe there is no longer an ongoing threat in the area.

Following the incident, Police Captain Kevin Lee told the San Francisco Chronicle that the shooting stemmed from a fight. However, no further details were revealed about the incident.

As the first shots were fired, several bystanders reacted in a panic. 19-year-old Tommy Corcoran told the Chronicle that he hid behind a log in Golden Gate Park after he heard the gunshots and saw people running away from the supermarket.

Meanwhile, one neighbor revealed they were shocked by the shooting since the supermarket is in a relatively safe neighborhood. “This is super shocking to see, we’ve never had anything remotely like this happen here, it’s a pretty safe and sleepy suburb neighborhood,” the unnamed neighbor told ABC 7 News.
