Another murder, another mystery — and this time, Only Murders in the Building is taking its sleuthing across the pond.

The beloved Hulu comedy starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin wrapped its fifth season in late October 2025, leaving fans desperate to know whether the Arconia’s crime-solving trio will return for more. Season 5 followed Mabel, Oliver, and Charles as they investigated the shocking death of The Arconia’s longtime doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca), with new A-list guest stars including Renée Zellweger and Téa Leoni joining the mix.

“Our beloved doorman has a hold of a large amount of tenants in our building’s secrets, and many other things about his life were interesting for me to sort of explore,” co-creator John Hoffman told Decider in October 2024. “We really are dipping our toe into a New York City in season 5 that feels particularly ripped from the headlines in certain ways that we’ve not done before.”

After the season 5 finale aired on October 28, fans immediately began asking the million-dollar question: Will there be a season 6 of Only Murders in the Building?

Hulu confirmed a sixth season for Only Murders in the Building just hours after the finale premiered on October 28, 2025. The renewal comes with an exciting twist — season 6 will take the series to London, marking the first time the show has ever filmed outside of New York City.

The announcement wasn’t a shock to fans who’ve followed Hoffman’s enthusiasm for the series. In an October 2024 interview with Variety, the showrunner shared that he plans to keep the mystery alive for as long as possible.

“Once you get over the hump of how many murders can happen in one building, you’re really stepping back and looking ultimately at the true original concept, which is three lonely people in New York City brought together by a common interest in true crime,” Hoffman said. “Hopefully, we’ve tethered out our stories and hit reflections of things that we all recognize about life and death… I’ll go as long as they’ll have us.”

If the past is any indication, stars Selena, Martin and Steve will all return to reprise their fan-favorite roles as Mabel, Oliver, and Charles. Familiar faces like Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Michael Cyril Creighton and Jackie Hoffman could also make appearances after their standout roles in season 5.

Selena has been open about how much the show means to her — and she’s not ready to say goodbye to Mabel Mora anytime soon.

“I really hope that I can just keep evolving Mabel as I get older,” the actress and singer told USA Today. “Because I want to do this for a long time.”
