Caroline Deroche Pasquier has been appointed as the new VP of Global Communications at Versace, as part of the recent restructuring process at the Milan based fashion house.

Deroche hails from an esteemed lineage in fashion communications, with her mother Dominique Deroche having headed the press department for Yves Saint Laurent for four decades.

Caroline Deroche Pasquier, previously associated with another Milan-based fashion house, Bottega Veneta, has had an illustrious career. Starting at Yves Saint Laurent in the press department in 1990, she extended her expertise to Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Coach, and Stella McCartney before joining Bottega Veneta as the Director of Global Comms.

In her career span, Deroche has earned a reputation for having held senior positions in the four global fashion capitals – London, Milan, New York, and Paris.

Expressing her delight over her new appointment, Deroche was quoted as saying, “I am very excited to be joining Versace, a house with incredible DNA, helmed creatively by Donatella Versace, one of the most respected designers in our industry, and a unique icon in fashion. Now, let’s go!” In 2022, Emmanuel Gintzburger, the CEO of Versace, initiated a significant revamp at Versace, bringing on seasoned professionals for top positions in marketing, communications, and digital roles.

As part of this team, Georgina Scholtens-Day was hired as the Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications and Digital and Customer Journey while Valeria Breda took over as Vice President of Global Innovation and IT.

Other additions to the team included Giorgia Carastro, Vice President Digital and Omnichannel, Stefania Lacarenza, Vice President Visual Merchandising.

Delighted at scoring top-tier industry professionals to help take Versace to the next level, Gintzburger said “I am extremely pleased that Versace has attracted these top-tier industry professionals to guide the brand in its next phase of growth and profitability.

With these leadership changes, we will continue to drive the transformation strategy, elevating the brand with a consumer, creative and innovation-driven approach.”
