Travis Kelce Requests Deletion of Old Tweets Before They Return to Spotlight in Light of Taylor Romance: ‘It’s Just Nonsense’

Travis Kelce acknowledges the recent emergence and consequential trending of his previous tweets, which have come under public attention during his romantic involvement with Taylor Swift.

The 34-year-old NFL player mentioned in a conversation with his sibling, Jason Kelce, during the “New Heights” podcast episode which aired on Wednesday, November 22, his intentions from the beginning of his NFL career were to delete all old tweets. He noted, however, the sudden attention these old posts have received, leading people to dive further back into his content from 2011.

Fortunately for Travis, none of the unearthed tweets from his college days contain anything that might be perceived as controversial. The nature of most of these messages is benign, with most appearing to be a stream of random thoughts. According to Kelce himself, he used Twitter in the manner typically used for a diary, often just sharing nonsensical ideas.

Kelce's fans have been playfully teasing him about the frequent spelling mistakes in his tweets. A typographical error in one of his tweets came to the attention of Chipotle, prompting them to temporarily rename one of their branches in Kansas City "Chipolte". Noteworthy too was a tweet where he had misspelled the word "squirrel" as "squirle".

Kelce claims that these instances are a reason for him to stop tweeting, deeming it complete nonsense.

The latest episode of “New Heights” follows a recent interview Travis had with The Wall Street Journal where he opened up about his romantic connection with Taylor, age 33. He revealed their bond began after she contacted him when he attended one of her Eras tour concerts in July. He mentions receiving aid from people who were mutual acquaintances.

Kelce reveals that there were individuals in Taylor's camp who were familiar with him and informed her of his attendance. According to him, these people played the role of Cupid. He mentioned that Taylor was very clear about the situation and how it was a lucky coincidence that led her to reach out to him.

Though they initially united over the summer, their relationship was not public knowledge until September 24. The famous singer wasn't secretive about their romance, even being spotted at a Chiefs game in Kelce's private suite alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. Taylor has also been noticed cheering for Travis at three subsequent games. Furthermore, Travis was present in Argentina on November 11 to support the “Anti-Hero” singer at her Eras tour concert in Buenos Aires.

Despite having three concerts scheduled in Brazil over the Thanksgiving weekend, Taylor will pause her tour until February. Her fans are hopeful that this break will result in her spending significant time in Kansas City in the upcoming months.
