Travis Kelce hints at potential baby name for his first child during Taylor Swift romance
Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, is already anticipating potential names for his future offspring with pop star Taylor Swift. In the latest episode of his podcast, "New Heights," which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis hinted at the first name he "might" give his forthcoming child.
In a conversation with renowned actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Travis, aged 34, suggested, “I might name my first kid Conan. I might.” This statement was made while the pair were reviewing Arnold's diverse filmography during the Wednesday, April 3 episode. Specifically, the name 'Conan' draws upon the character portrayed by Arnold, now 76, in the 1982 cult classic, Conan the Barbarian, a revenge-seeking barbarian warrior battling the leadership of a snake-worshipping cult.
During a previous episode of the podcast, the NFL athlete discussed the possibility of fatherhood. Travis induced anticipation about his and Taylor's possible future family during a dialogue about 7-foot-4 San Antonio Spurs' basketball player, Victor Wembanyama.
“The guy was unmistakably manufactured in a laboratory in France,” Jason, 36, commented on the episode aired March 19. “Just as lab-grown diamonds are a product of sophisticated technology, so is an NBA player of his caliber. I'm eagerly looking forward to creating a similar specimen.”
Jason instantly understood his brother's veiled comment and anticipated the excitement it would trigger among the couple's followers. The elder Kelce advised caution: "Don't stir the pot. Stop feeding the conspiracy theorists with additional fodder."
The romance between Travis and Taylor, also 34, commenced imperceptibly in July 2023 when the NFL star attended one of Taylor's Eras Tour concerts and gave her a shout-out on his podcast. Their relationship became public in September 2023, with the couple frequently supporting one another at football games and concerts. Currently, both Travis and Taylor are enjoying a pause from their professional obligations — the NFL is in the offseason while Taylor's Eras Tour is on a short intermission.
An existing confidante confirmed to Life & Style in March that the couple is “exploring the viability of cohabitation.” “The arrangement, thus far, has been quite harmonious. Travis has moved into Taylor's LA mansion during her tour intermission and they appear content in their joint residence,” commented the source.
The success of the live-in period has fuelled speculation about imminent engagements and family plans for the couple. Another source informed Life & Style that Travis expressed his desire to spend his life with Taylor on a recent vacation in the Bahamas. Though practically a proposal, it wasn't an official one, and the dedicated couple spent the remainder of their tropical vacation commemorating this private commitment.
