Travis Kelce Attends Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Argentina Following Weather Delay on Night 2
On Saturday, November 11, the NFL star Travis Kelce was spotted cheering for his girlfriend Taylor Swift during her Eras tour stop in Argentina. This occurred after severe weather conditions resulted in the rescheduling of the second of her Buenos Aires shows. Travis, 34, decided to show his support from the VIP tent of Estadio River Plate, marking the first time he has attended one of her tours. With him in the tent was Taylor's father, Scott Swift.
Travis had been seen having dinner with Taylor on Friday, November 10, their surprise off-night after the cancellation of Taylor's performance due to weather conditions. The popular couple enjoyed their meal at Elana, a restaurant located within a Four Seasons hotel, in a private room and were joined by Taylor's father Scott.
It's most likely that Travis had initially planned to attend Taylor's show on November 10, before its forced cancellation. He was spotted in Buenos Aires on the same day, having left Kansas City late on Thursday, November 9.
Taylor had expressed her safety concerns over the inclement weather to her fans in a social media post, stating, “We have to reschedule tonight's Buenos Aires concert because the weather is so chaotic as to make it unsafe to perform. Good news though, I get to stay in Argentina longer!”
Considering Travis’ arrival coincides with Taylor’s concerts in the South American country, fans are speculating that he might attend one of her shows.
Since Travis, who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is not scheduled to compete again until November 20, there's a window for him to visit Taylor during her Buenos Aires Eras tour which runs from Thursday, November 9 to Saturday, November 11.
Fans are left to wonder if Travis will use this break to support his girlfriend during her record-breaking tour.
According to one insider, the Super Bowl MVP is apparently making plans to travel abroad to see the “Love Story” musician. The information, however, was not confirmed by Travis himself.
Despite this, during the podcast “New Heights”, which aired on Wednesday, November 8, both Travis and Jason Kelce, Travis’s elder brother, hinted about the possible visit.
In a conversation about Travis’s travel plans during his time off football, Jason inquired if Travis had any travel plans, to which he responded with a possible plan to visit a sunny location.
Jason also posed a question to Travis about where he might prefer to play next, specifically mentioning Argentina and Brazil, two of the upcoming destinations on Taylor's international tour.
Taylor initiated the Argentina leg of her tour on Thursday, November 9, without Travis being present.
Instead of attending Taylor’s first Buenos Aires concert, Travis opted to participate in a gala for his fellow Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
Travis was appreciated for becoming the all-time leading receiver in Chiefs history, as seen in a video that was uploaded to the foundation's Instagram story.
Even though Travis might have limited time now, it's likely he will attend more of Taylor's tour dates as the NFL season ends on January 7, 2024. Taylor’s tour will continue until December 8, 2024, with the inclusion of additional shows worldwide including a second U.S. leg.
