The anticipation for the red carpet debut of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will have to be prolonged. Kelce, NFL star, affirmed that he will not be accompanying his significant other on February 4 at the Grammys.

The 34-year-old footballer expressed on The Pat McAfee Show, January 31 episode, "I would love to be there to support Taylor at the Grammys, even witness her sweep every award she has been nominated for. However, Sunday, I believe, is for practice or traveling. Saturday, I am certain is for practice. Sunday is a travel day."

Just within a week following the Grammys, the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end will be on the field for the Super Bowl on February 11. Lamenting his absence from the award show, he added, "Regrettably, I need to start preparing for this huge Super Bowl that is scheduled for next week."

Taylor, also aged 34, showed her support for the Chiefs and Travis in their successful pursuit for a Super Bowl slot after triumphing in the AFC Championship on January 28. From a private suite, she enthusiastically rooted for Travis, later celebrating the victory on the field with him.

Although the professional sportsman won't be reciprocating at the Grammys, there is hope from fans that Taylor will manage to be at the Super Bowl despite her hectic itinerary. Following the Grammys, she is expected to head to Tokyo for four shows forming the next phase of her Eras tour, from February 7. With the final performance concluding on February 10, she should, considering the time difference, have adequate time to fly back to Las Vegas for the great event.

The singer of "Karma" has become a regular at Chiefs games this NFL season, and Travis has openly expressed his gratitude for her consistent support. In his words, "It's absolutely delightful when Taylor attends, relishing the match alongside family and friends. This year has been simply splendid."

With the football season gradually coming to an end, there should be more opportunities for Travis to support Taylor in her professional commitments. Post the Tokyo tour, Australia and Singapore are next on Taylor's Eras tour's itinerary, before a stretch over the summer in Europe. He has been a part of her audience in the past as well, during her tour in Argentina in November 2023, taking advantage of a bye football weekend.

Taylor is a nominee in six categories at the Grammys, thanks to her 2022 album, Midnights. This includes considerations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Solo Album. "Anti-Hero", another track from the album, has nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. She is also on the list for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her joint effort with Ice Spice on the track "Karma".
