It may be hard to believe, but the 2024 awards season has finally come to an end. This season of glitz, glamour, memorable speeches, and breathtaking beauty looks concluded with the most prestigious event in Hollywood, The Oscars. As beauty enthusiasts, we paid special attention to the recurring beauty trends throughout the season, from the SAG Awards to the postponed 2023 Emmys, The Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, and of course, The Oscars. Apart from compiling the most stunning beauty looks every night, we couldn't help but notice the dominant makeup brands preferred by our favourite celebrities. After conducting thorough research, we concluded that these six makeup brands were the most commonly seen on the red carpets of award shows.

Chanel Beauty's popularity has skyrocketed, particularly due to its universally flattering lip products. Not surprisingly, the brand is just as beloved by celebrities walking the red carpet. Faces of stars like Issa Rae, Jennifer Aniston, Ayo Edebiri, and Margot Robbie, among others, glowed with Chanel Beauty at several events, including the 2024 SAG Awards, The Emmys, and The Golden Globes. At the Oscars, Lily Gladstone, an Oscar nominee for Killers of the Flower Moon, Gabrielle Union, and Lupita Nyong'o, wore Chanel Beauty, some mixed with wearable glitter for a captivating shimmer.

Another recent social media sensation, Dior Beauty, has also gained celebrity love on the red carpet. The brand's iconic lip oil is known worldwide, and celebrities of all ages, from Ali Wong to Joey King, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain, Rosamund Pike, Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, and more have been spotted wearing Dior Beauty.

An unforgettable beauty look from Pat McGrath Labs at the Maison Margiela couture show went viral, positioning the brands at the forefront of beauty conversations. Many celebrities, including Miley Cyrus and Cardi B, frequently don Pat McGrath’s products at red carpet events.

Charlotte Tilbury is an influencer-favourite, known for her Pillow Talk lip products and impeccable contour wands. Also approved by the red carpet are stars like Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, Doja Cat, Lana Del Ray and Kacey Musgraves, who graced this year's awards in Tilbury’s products. Emily Blunt completed her Oscars look this past Sunday with Charlotte lipstick.

The well-loved and affordable L’Oréal Paris brand, renowned for its effective products, also made its mark on the red carpet this year. Celebs such as Aubrey Plaza, Elle Fanning, and Taraji P. Henson turned up in L’Oréal for the big nights. At the 2024 Oscars, Eva Longoria was seen applying L’Oréal Paris skin prep to highlight her glowing skin.

Symbolising elegant and luxurious beauty, Lancôme graced the faces of celebrities such as Lily Gladstone and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, stars of Killers of the Flower Moon and The Holdovers. The brand embodies quality in both its product and packaging.
