"End of a Six-Year Romance: Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Part Ways"
After dating for six years, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have called it quits, according to a source close to the couple. The news broke as Swift is on her Eras tour, where Alwyn has not been seen.
Although they were a famously private couple, Alwyn, 32, and Swift, 33, were often the subject of engagement rumors, which they both deflected. Alwyn once said, "If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins," adding that he wouldn't confirm or deny whether they were planning to get married.
The couple collaborated musically during the pandemic, with Alwyn contributing under the pseudonym William Bowery on several songs from the albums Folklore and Evermore, which won a Grammy Award. Swift even gave Alwyn a shout-out in her acceptance speech.
Despite maintaining their privacy, many of Swift's love songs from her 2017 album reputation appear to be inspired by Alwyn and their relationship. They were last seen publicly together in February 2021 after the Oscars.
