Tara Reid was hospitalized after she was seen on a stretcher in a Chicago hotel. Life & Style breaks down everything to know about the incident, including her claims about what landed her in the hospital.

Reid was spotted being moved on a stretcher by paramedics from a hotel lobby in Chicago to a nearby ambulance early in the morning on November 23, according to video taken by an onlooker and shared by TMZ one day later.

In the video, several people were seen helping Reid – who appeared visibly dazed – into a wheelchair in the lobby. One man was seen holding Reid up, while another helped by holding onto the chair.

“We’re going to take you to your room, okay?” one of the men, who was wearing a uniform, told Reid after she sat down in the chair. The American Pie actress was then seen looking around as she appeared confused and slurred her words.

More footage showed paramedics arriving at the scene at a later time. Three paramedics were then seen walking Reid out of the hotel while she was on a stretcher and she was taken to a hospital.

After the video was obtained by TMZ, Reid claimed to the outlet that a drug was slipped in her drink that made her unconscious.

She said that she checked into her hotel room late on November 22, 2025, and went downstairs for a cigarette and a drink. Once she was at the bar, she ordered a drink before she headed outside to smoke a cigarette. As she walked through the lobby to smoke, she met a group of YouTubers and was joined by one outside.

Reid then returned to the bar, where she claimed her drink was covered with a napkin. Despite saying she didn’t place the napkin over her drink, she said she still drank from the glass.

The Sharknado actress went on to state that she blacked out and the next thing she remembers was being in the hospital.

Reid has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past, though she insisted that she only had one drink on the night of the incident.

As of the time of publication, Reid has not filed a police report in connection to the incident and it’s not clear who could have drugged her.
