Childhood Friends Alisan Porter and Justin de Vera Tie the Knot (Exclusive)
Alisan Porter has finally tied the knot with her long-time partner Justin de Vera. The couple exchanged vows at the Venus Garden Chapel in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, in an intimate wedding ceremony on Sunday. The wedding came after six years of dating, during which the couple became best friends.
The wait was worth it for Porter, 41, and de Vera, 33, who met as children about two decades ago. The wedding was small and intimate, and the couple exchanged handwritten vows. According to Porter, "We've had an amazing six years together, raised incredible kids and had our own baby. So this is what we've been waiting for."
The wedding was a family affair, and Porter's children from a previous relationship were actively involved, with Mason, 10, and Aria, 8, holding the rings. Shilo, Porter, and de Vera's daughter, who was born in October 2021, was also present.
Porter wore a Sau Lee gown, which she noted was classic, simple, and edgy. The couple didn't go for anything traditional but instead chose what felt right for them.
The wedding was attended by 75 guests, including close friend and singer Adam Lambert. Guy, a friend of the couple's, officiated the wedding and is also Shilo's godfather.
Porter walked down the aisle to "Warm Under the Light" by Justin Nozuka and was welcomed by her new husband at the end. It was the perfect happy ending for the couple, who first met at a dance studio.
The couple got engaged in July at a David Gray concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. During the song "This Year's Love," de Vera popped the question, a song that the couple considers theirs and played during their first dance. Porter said, "We have been best friends since and always loved each other," and now, they have their happily ever after.
