Kurt Iswarienko's Wife Shannen Doherty Seeks Divorce After 11-Year Marriage

After 11 years of marriage, Shannen Doherty has filed for divorce from Kurt Iswarienko. Doherty's representative, Leslie Sloane, explained that divorce was not what Doherty wanted but felt she had no other option. Sloane also claimed that Iswarienko's agent was involved with their divorce. Iswarienko has yet to comment on the situation.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the couple separated in January, and Doherty is requesting spousal support but not for it to be awarded to her estranged husband, who works as a photographer. The couple did not have any children together.

Before news of the divorce became public, Doherty posted a cryptic message on her Instagram account about treating people with love, kindness, and respect.

The couple got married in 2011, and before their wedding, Doherty shared that she was taking her third marriage seriously. She said, "Marriage to me is such a gigantic commitment that it's not something I'd ever go into lightly anymore. I've learned my lesson."

It has been just a month since Doherty told fans at a Charmed panel that she was feeling great. She has been dealing with ongoing treatments for stage 4 breast cancer, which she was first diagnosed with in 2015. She revealed in 2020 that the cancer had returned.

Despite her health struggles, Doherty feels a responsibility to use her more public life to talk about cancer and educate people. She said, "I feel like I have a responsibility ... to talk about cancer and perhaps educate people more and let people know that people with stage 4 are very much alive and very active."
