During a recent concert at her Las Vegas residency, Shania Twain's witty sense of humor served her well following an amusing mishap on stage. The famed singer recounted the incident to her fans on her Instagram page this past Monday, June 3.

The 58-year-old "Still the One" singer was captured in a fan-made TikTok video singing "(If You're Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!" She was holding a pink drumstick in one hand while belting out the song into her microphone with the other. In a mix-up, she mistakenly started to sing into the drumstick.

After realizing her gaffe, Shania exclaimed, “Oh my God!” before bursting into laughter. She told her audience, “That was hilarious,” while doubling over in laughter. Undeterred, she continued with the performance and even jokingly put the drumstick back to her mouth.

Shania, a Grammy award-winner, posted the fan’s video on her Instagram page with the caption, “I’m really glad somebody captured this moment, it’s made me laugh all over again.”

In the ensuing comments, one fan said, “That shows she is really singing live,” sparking another to reply with, “Love it! I’d rather this kind of funny mistake that a track skipping!! Lol!”

Another follower commented that the video was "proof she isn’t lip syncing," adding that "Especially when she put it up to her mouth, the second time her voice was still singing.”

One fan shared a memory highlighting Shania’s ability to smoothly handle potentially embarrassing moments on stage from another recent concert.

They wrote, “I was front row on May 26th and there was a moment when she accidentally covered her face with the ends of her wig while putting on her cowboy hat. It was amusing to hear her laugh while singing, even though she couldn’t see. A backup dancer corrected her hair while another assisted her to the front of the stage,” accompanying their comment with laughing emojis.

They further expressed, “I love that she can laugh at things like this because mistakes happen and it makes the individual show unique, in my opinion.”

Shania initiated her third act in Las Vegas on May 10 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Named “Come On Over,” the show highlights the successful hits of the Canadian-born singer's illustrious career spanning three decades. The residency runs until December 2024.

The “Any Man of Mine” performer has had two previous Las Vegas residencies. Her first stint occurred between 2012 to 2014 at Caesar’s Palace, and “Let’s Go!” was performed at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino which began December 2019 and ended in June 2020.
