The Relationship Timeline of Renee Zellweger and Ant Anstead's Rapid Romance
Ant Anstead made headlines again after his split from Christina Haack by sparking a romance with Renée Zellweger. The Wheeler Dealers star was previously married to Haack for almost two years before announcing their separation on Instagram in September 2020. They finalized their divorce nine months later, agreeing to co-parent their son, Hudson, born in September 2019.
Shortly after his divorce, Anstead was rumored to be dating the Judy actress in late June 2021. The couple was seen lounging together on his balcony, and during the 4th of July, they were caught kissing on their bikes at a traffic light. The couple continued to be seen in public, smooching while wandering through the parking lot of a Laguna Beach hardware store.
Neither Anstead nor Zellweger addressed the relationship publicly immediately. As the For the Love of Cars presenter's romance with Zellweger raised eyebrows, his ex-wife moved on as well. Haack was seen holding hands with Joshua Hall in July 2021 and even made the relationship Instagram official soon after.
Both Anstead and Haack tried to stay positive after the split. In September 2020, Anstead told his social media followers that they would aim to stay close for the sake of their son. "Christina is fine. I am fine. And we remain good friends and will navigate this at our pace. Compassion and kindness are all that's needed."
Zellweger has had a high-profile dating history, including relationships with Jim Carrey, Kenny Chesney, and Bradley Cooper. She was briefly engaged to Carrey in 2000 and later married Chesney, but the couple divorced after four months of marriage.
Despite fans' shock at Anstead and Haack's split, there does not appear to be any bad blood between the exes.
